Adult Education Initiative: Basic education and subsequent completion of compulsory education

General information

To increase freedom of choice within the education system and to promote disadvantaged and hitherto under-represented groups, support is available for offers of basic education and subsequent completion of compulsory education (the ‘EB [Erwachsenenbildung – adult education] Initiative’), regardless of origin, language and existing qualifications, if any.

Requirements

All accredited training schemes provided by public adult education institutions in the Province of Salzburg are eligible for support.

Required documents

Applications must be submitted by means of a fully completed general funding application to the Province of Salzburg, with the necessary documentation attached. Further requirements are specified in the General guidelines on the granting of funding by the Province of Salzburg.

Procedure

•    Submitting a funding application
•    The training scheme will commence following approval of the application (with a contract concluded where required).
•     The funding will be provided once the funding application has been approved and, where applicable, the funding contract has been concluded, and all necessary documents have been provided.
•    The funding body will issue a final statement of the amount of funding paid.

Costs and fees

There is no charge for submitting an application.

Deadlines

There are no specific deadlines for submitting an application. The funding contract and the approval notification will specify the deadlines for providing proof of how the funding is to be used.
